Simple ads like the one below are not that hard to do. Click on the picture for the larger size. You can create this ad with Photo Shop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, or any graphics software you happen to own. This version was created using OpenOffice.org 3.2 Impress similar to Powerpoint. OpenOffice.org 3.2 is a free program that gives you the same programs that Microsofts Office Suite provides and it's free.

It is a large download. Go here to download. If you have any experience with office suite you'll find many similarities. Get your free program and then follow along as we create this simple ad. If you choose to use some other program what follows will more than likely be the same or similar. I will provide screen shots as we go along.

Whether you plan to create your own ads for our OLCNOW Shopping Guide or flyer etc you'll find the following information of some use to you. By creating you're own ads for our Shopping Guide you'll have the privilege of being able to send us your ad at any time. You won't have to wait for the beginning of the month when we can create the ad for you.

I am restricting this area to clients and interested parties.

To start off: The size of your ad has no Bering on creating or sending us the file. Just make sure you create space with in your ad. Don't clutter it up. However, saying that, it should be noted that for a popup ad it should not be bigger than  6 3/4 inches wide or 650 pixels and 5 1/2 inches high or 500 pixels. For full page ads we can accept letter size graphics. You may send your file to us in almost any format except your graphic programs native format. Send as .gif, .jpg, .tiff, .png, or even as a .pdf file format. We can always resize your graphic ad.

Feel free to be creative. Caution: Too many graphics and too many fonts can be a problem in how someone views your ad. Often clip art graphics have a white or black back ground and when placed on a background color look amateurish and tacky. Try to find or make your graphics with a transparent back ground.
